- Reduced sense of smell
- Tender or painful muscles of the face
In case the problem gets worse then you will notice these symptoms
- Foul smell from mouth/ bad breath; this problem is also known as halitosis
- Feeling tired, lazy
- Having frequent headaches
If these symptoms continue for more than 12 weeks, then it is the case of chronic sinusitis. And, in this case a doctor must be consulted immediately.
To totally get rid of the problem the best way out is clearing the nose of the fluids.
Important Note: If you are an asthma patient then you must not wait even a single day if you have any doubt that you have the problem as the problem can worsen their problem and the problem of sinus can recur many times.
Sinus Treatment in Ayurveda

This has been considered as the most natural, easiest and effective way to moisturize the sinus passageways. Boil water, once it is done take off the water container from the flames. Now, bring your face close enough to the boiling water that you can easily inhale the steam and for doing so cover your face with a towel.
Do this twice daily and you will see the good changes in your health soon?
An added tip you can add a few drops of essential oils like that of lavender, eucalyptus and chamomile that will help to soothe and calm your senses.
Use saline nasal spray
It can be easily prepared at home and it works great for clearing the blocked passage.
The ingredients you will need in order to make this solution are:
- 1/4 pint of water, possibly sterilized
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tablespoon of baking soda
Use only a clean spray bottled. Prefer buying a new one and wash it properly before putting in the solution.
Do it two to three times every day to get the best results.
It the method of applying pressure onto some points in the body as it can help uproot the problem causing agent. It has not been proved that acupressure can totally solve the problem but still it can ease various symptoms to a great extent.
It must be made sure that not too much pressure should be applied to the pressure point as it can cause discomfort and uneasiness.
